OFDA
OFDA stands for “Optical-based Fibre Diameter Analyser”.
The first OFDA instrument was the OFDA100, released in 1994, which has since been retired and replaced by the OFDA2000. The OFDA2000 has gone through several upgrades and modernisations over the years to bring it to where it is today.
The OFDA4000 was added to our product lineup as a world first instrument, capable of simultaneous diameter and length measurement of slivers.
Robotic Vision
Robotic Vision was founded in 2023 after taking over ownership of the OFDA business from BSC Electronics who had been manufacturing OFDAs for over 30 years.
Thomas Hegerty, Director of Robotic Vision worked for BSC for 10 years before committing to continue the legacy of Mark Brims when he decided to retire. Tom is driven to continue the excellent customer service BSC was known for and will keep providing the highly accurate and reliable machinery that our customers expect.
